With the help of her fairy godmother, a kitchen maid mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, attends a palace ball where she meets the prince of her dreams. The story is told twice, first in verse, then in prose. The largest of the color plates depict a stage, within which the smaller plates tell the story pictorially as the plates are turned. First and last pages mounted on covers.
Cover depicts title: "Cinderella," series: "Pantomime Toy Books," and publisher: "McLoughlin Bro's NY." Illustrations depict Cinderella staring into the fire. Circus characters and a footman holding the glass slipper are also shown.
