This is an ABC book with verse and illustrations related to the railway in Victorian England. The book consists of pages with rhyming verse facing pages with color-printed illustrations (4 separate color-printed illustrations per illustration page), which depict the scenes described on the verse pages.
This is the back cover, which advertises other children's book series published under "Warne's Nursery Literature," and also includes blurbs from the Daily Telegraph and Atlas about Warne's Nursery Literature, as well as information about the American imprint, "Scribner, Welford, & Co."
