With the help of her fairy godmother, a kitchen maid mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, attends a palace ball where she meets the prince of her dreams. The story is told twice, first in verse, then in prose. The largest of the color plates depict a stage, within which the smaller plates tell the story pictorially as the plates are turned. First and last pages mounted on covers.
These plates depict Cinderella meeting more people at the ball, she is in the center and appears to have everyone’s attention. The plates are framed by a stage-like illustration with the orchestra below.
10 unnumbered pages, 14 unnumbered pages of plates , color illustrations , 26 cm.
