Chapbook with uncolored woodcut illustrations.

These pages continue the application of “Crow and Pitcher,” and tell the story and application of “A Daw in Borrowed Feathers,” wherein a Daw dresses himself up very nicely with feathers until his companions take their feathers back, leaving the Daw in his most primitive state. The application states that we are happiest in our natural condition and will be laughed at if we attempt to change.
