This story tells the misfortune that befalls a group of fowl friends when they think that the sky is falling. It warns of the dangers of overreacting, gossip, and misinformation.
The illustration on p.7 shows Chicken Little, Hen Pen, Duck Luck, Goose Loose, and Turkey Lurkey telling Fox Lox that the sky is falling. The illustration on p. 8 shows Fox Lox, who has already killed Turkey Lurkey, killing Goose Loose, while the others wait outside his den to be eaten.
