Illustrated with hand-colored relief prints.
Printed on one side of leaf only, the printed pages facing each other. Pages are paper pasted onto canvas. First and last pages pasted to wrappers. This copy is in publisher's printed decorated orange wrappers.
This story tells of two young orphans who are abandoned in the wood by their cruel uncle so that he can get their inheritance. It cautions parents to be careful in choosing their executors.
Back cover has publisher's list of "Dean & Son's coloured sixpenny books".
